Beginning her career in 1999, when she auditioned for reality contest, Girlband, she was soon one of the final lucky winners to join all female pop act, Heaven. The girls were an instant success and Coco's star began to rise.
In 2002, Coco released her debut solo album, Hot Coco, which went straight to the top of the charts, launching her status to a serious solo performer. A status which she is yet to lose, as she continues her solo career, over ten years later. In 2006, Coco was the centre of controversy over an overtly sexual album named, Audiogasm. The sexual nature of her lyrics ruffled feathers among conservative groups, leading Coco to her fourth album, New Directions, where she matured her sound.
In June, 2010, Coco gave birth to her first son, Chip, with her husband Joel Welshe. Her second son, Otis, was born in July, 2013.
